Python skin

Effie has had this snake skin for years.
This detail of part of the skin has faces – I wonder if this is an adaptation thing. Close up, you can see the myriad of small dots that make up the dark color in the pattern.

I believe this is from a python of some sort.

Polarizeration

Experimenting.
2 polarizers to cut light from the noon sun, 8 sec., f7.1, ISO 100. NIK help in post processing.
The idea was to create a fuller tonal range in B&W. Needs a bit of work.

The Ottawa Marathon for 2013.
Netsanet Achamo crosses the line, 3rd of 250 female marathoners.
Participants from Ethiopia dominated the race.

The host of the camera club’s annual awards banquet – Gordon Esnard, head of the Catering section of Algonquin.
This gentleman has been doing this for years. He oversees preparations by the year’s graduates in the culinary program at Algonquin College.

On the run all day, this sky loomed on the horizon. Just grabbed the camera and shot from the shoulder out the window. A bit shaky and almost as bad as texting but I got
the shot.

Wending my way homeward enjoying the downpour, dark skies & lightning I spotted this
typical street scene of the day.

The whazzit from yesterday is, indeed, a fan.
