Daylight
Missed last week’s Photojournalism class due to high spirits and good food at the wedding.
The assignment dealt with capturing differences in shooting daylight versus night-light.
Standing at the feet of Samuel Champlain at Nepean Point, looking across the mighty Ottawa, to the government buildings next to the Museum of Civilization (or whatever it is in its reincarnation).

Stone Sculptures
Stopped at Remic Rapids in the Ottawa river on the way to the season opener for the camera club. These stone sculptures, originally done every year by John Félice Ceprano (since deceased), are replaced every year by local folks looking to replicate (& honor) his work. Light painting on the front rocks. The foggy night adds to the ambiance.
Foot bridge
A walking path just about a mile down the road. We are lucky in Canada to have this kind of terrain readily available.
The view
The one who owns that chair must get a great view in the morning when the light is on this side.
Laneway
Heavy thunderstorms & dark cloud cover for much of the day. Along about twilight, my attention was diverted out the window by a lone clap. 2 minutes later, it was dark as pitch.
Reflection
More water stuff.
Playing with filters to salvage an otherwise boring reflection shot.

More stuff in the water now that we’re getting some summer weather.
Gotta wonder why an eye hook in a stone – or was this some kinda man made, now weathered thing.
