Sunspot

Enjoying a great meal on the patio of a new-found cafe when the clouds rolled in and spattered a bit of the ol’ wet stuff. Evening sun popped out to provide a stark contrast with the receding clouds.

The newly opened Savoy on the site of the former Newport Restaurant, home of Moe’s World Famous Elvis Sighting Society .

Newport Restaurant

Two days after the Boston Marathon bombs, we’re sitting in Moe’s World Famous Newport Restaurant – home of some great pizza.

Elvis and Moe share a moment on the wall while a news update on the TV informs the public that no arrests have been made. Times were different in Elvis’ day – I think. What drives some people to make their protests in such a way is beyond me. I’m certain the citizens of the world will never knuckle under to these acts of idiocy.

Crystal Restaurant

Gearing up for the final push home. Spent the night in Scranton, PA. A quick sleep &
back in the car, bleary eyed & a bit grumpy.

Lunch time saw us in Watertown, NY. This restaurant was rated 4-star for this town.
Ended up elsewhere, but I liked the architecture.
