Monday morning dawned clear & bright and I realized I had neglected to get a shot of my own gang.
Since we had some time before their flight, Cassandra arranged for us to return to Belle Meade for a photo shoot.

As part of the wind up activities to the big day Dom & Marcus, in conjunction with moms & dads, host a hoe down. Held at McConnell House in Franklin, TN, this building is an historic jail built in the early 1990s. The band was amazing with a repertoire ranging from Led Zeppelin to more traditional country sounds.
Taking a break from the hub bub, I tried my hand at hand held low light shooting.
Started a course geared toward Photojournalism – held at La Petite Mort gallery.
First night, after introductory remarks, dealt with balancing ambient light with flash.
The aim is to provide just enough fill so the viewer cannot tell that flash was used.
The next few postings will highlight our 5 days in Nashville as we attended Dom and Marcus’ wedding.
The 24th annual Animation Festival is in town for the next 5 days. Looking forward to finally taking in some of these “different” cartoons.
At opening night Happy Hour at the Museum of Nature, these 2 get photo-bombed.
Jazz turned 19 today – the legal drinking age in Ontario.
As a culture, we mark events with some kind of celebration or ceremony on a regular basis. Even if there’s no event, we’ll make one up. You know what I mean.
I guess there’s something in the herding instinct that ensures the tribal members keep track of one another through such things. On the other hand, it could be that we just like to party. 😉
