Day 315 of 365

Sidewinder

Sidewinder

Saturday night in country-land.
As part of the wind up activities to the big day Dom & Marcus, in conjunction with moms & dads, host a hoe down. Held at McConnell House in Franklin, TN, this building is an historic jail built in the early 1990s. The band was amazing with a repertoire ranging from Led Zeppelin to more traditional country sounds.

Taking a break from the hub bub, I tried my hand at hand held low light shooting.

Day 303 of 365

Jazz at 19

Jazz at 19

Jazz turned 19 today – the legal drinking age in Ontario.
As a culture, we mark events with some kind of celebration or ceremony on a regular basis. Even if there’s no event, we’ll make one up. You know what I mean.

I guess there’s something in the herding instinct that ensures the tribal members keep track of one another through such things. On the other hand, it could be that we just like to party.  😉

Day 287 of 365

Erik & Elise

Erik & Elise

Erik & Elise tied the knot today witnessed by friends & family.

A beautiful, dry, slightly cloud covered day followed a night of heavy rain – new beginnings. The follow up party was a hoot with friends of Erik & Elise and of the host parents playing music far into the night.

Best song of the night has to go to the one Erik wrote for Elise and sprang as a surprise.
